Voices Melaka would like to thank all of you for your wonderful support and presence in the 2nd Malaysia Debate Open. The past few days have been really amazing and we hope everyone enjoyed the tournament. Firstly, a big congratulation to International Islamic University for winning the grand final of the 2nd Malaysia Debate Open. We would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the top 10 speakers and the teams that made it into the break.

There are actually 8 people tied on 7th place. After calculating the standard deviation (to gauge speaker’s consistency) for the tie break, it was reduced there to 4 speakers; Kelvin, Rafiq, Pranay and Meor who received the top speaker's trophies. We would like to also recognize the last 4 speakers on who are also 7th placing and they are placed accordingly in the list below.

I would also like to forward my appreciation to the organizing committee for the success of this tournament. Arun, (who took on the role of both Convener and Tournament Director), Sarah, (our Finance and Registration Director) as well as the division directors and the working committee, all who literally work their butt off round the clock for the past half a year. I hope participants can attribute the joy and comfort of this tournament to these amazing people who made this tournament truly memorable.

Lastly, to the lovely individuals in the adjudication core and the tab team; Hafiz, Ips, Sadhana, Irzal and Sooch, who have sacrificed socials, and beauty sleep (note the lady in the team) to mark adjudication sheets, interviewing and screening every single adjudicator, double checking the motions, and tabulating the data and results to make sure the debates in this tournament are of its highest quality. You guys are the coolest people around and thank you so much for being here.
