A total of 21 ballots (names of schools will follow) were received. Using
the ranking system as indicated (1st place vote - 6 pts. down to 6th place vote
- 1 pt.) the outcome was as follows:
1st: Public Education - with 97 pts.
2nd: Reduce U.S. MilitaryAid - with 83 pts.
3rd: Internet Governance - with 74 pts.
4th/5th: Banking and Finance / Nuclear Waste Disposal - with 64 pts. each.
6th: Domestic Water Regulation - with 59 pts.
So the NFA topic area will be: Public Education. The LD Committee has been working on general discussion related to the topic area and will soon be working on actual resolutions for consideration. They would like to hear from schools/coaches/students with thoughts and ideas related to the topic area - Public Education.
