WSDC DEBATE FORMAT DEMONSTRATION
WORLD SCHOOLS INVITATIONAL ROUND ROBIN

NFL Nationals, Birmingham, AL
19-21 June 2013

The purpose of this round-robin tournament is to invite leading teams to come to NFL Nationals, stage workshops about the format, hold a tournament and then have the two top teams debate in front of the NFL Nationals attendees on Friday afternoon. This effort will hopefully increase awareness and interest in this global debate format in the USA.

This program will be paid for by a contribution from an anonymous donor who wishes to share the WSDC format with the debaters of the USA.

Six teams will be invited to the event. These teams will be:
· USA world schools team, plus a judge
· Houston Urban Debate League WSDC champion team, plus a judge
· Canada world schools team, plus a judge
· Mexico world schools team, plus a judge
· Singapore world schools team, plus a judge
· Slovenia world schools team, plus a judge

The NFL will provide airfare and hotel accommodations for foreign participants and hotel accommodations for USA participants. Teams should submit plans for travel for 3 students and 1 judge and NFL will authorize ticket purchases. Teams will be reimbursed at the tournament.
