The Embassy of France and The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, in partnership with American University and George Washington University, hosted The Élysée Treaty Debates on April 13th & 14th, 2013, in Washington, D.C. The tournament commemorated the 50th anniversary of the Élysée Treaty, which heralded a profound and historic change in the relationship between France and Germany. Quarterfinalists were invited to Germany, France and Belgium to experience firsthand the realities of European integration.
