Scientific American Executive Editor to Serve as IPPF
Keynote Speaker
Scientific American Executive Editor Fred Guterl will deliver
the keynote address Saturday during the IPPF Banquet & Awards
Ceremony, which will be broadcast live beginning at 8 p.m. ET at
www.bickelbrewer.com/ippf.
Prior to joining
Scientific American, Mr. Guterl was a deputy editor of Newsweek International. He was also
Newsweek International's first science and technology editor,
writing and editing dozens of cover packages and special issues on
climate change, global health, energy, and other subjects.
Mr. Guterl is author of the book
The Fate of the Species, which explores, in part, the impact of
global warming on the human population, offering specifics on rising
sea levels, melting ice caps, vanishing fresh water and increasingly
unstable weather.
