It is with a humble heart that I welcome you to the US Universities National Debate Championships here at the University of La Verne. What better way to kick off the University of La Verne’s 101st year of debating tradition, than to bring the very best of university and college debating to our beautiful campus! Our team has been planning this event for two years now and I can guarantee you will have the best of memories at this year’s tournament. With the limited amount of teams able to attend the World Championships, I wanted to recreate the atmosphere and experience I have grown to love from attending over 6 World Championships. Matching our successful debating reputation both nationally and internationally, we promise to mirror the same leadership as hosts. I encourage each and every one of you to find me at the tournament, introduce yourself, and become a friend to the La Verne family. We welcome you all!
