World Schools Format Trainings at National Forensic League Nationals in Alabama


In an effort to introduce the World Schools Debating Championship format to USA high schools, training sessions will be held on Wednesday at Hoover High School in Birmingham, Alabama as part of the tournament with over 1000 schools and 3300 contestants held by the National Forensic League. Come to room B111. 

10 AM
Introduction to the format & differences with USA formats: Mark Webber, Mexico; Joshua Judah, Canada

11 AM
Introduction to international schools debating scene: Geetha Creffield, Singapore; Bojana Skrt, Slovenia

1:30 PM & 2:30 PM & 3:30 PM
4 Elective sessions, in various combinations, including:
· Introduction to the format & differences with USA formats: Mark Webber, Mexico
· Training in the WSDC format: Alfred Snider, USA
· Adding WSDC to your debate program: Mark Niles, HUDL
· Judging: Joshua Judah, Canada
· Online resources, videos and information: Alfred Snider, USA
· Motions/Topics types and differences: Geetha Creffield, Singapore
· Points of Information: Geetha Creffield, Singapore
