The 2013 World Schools Debate Academy completed last Saturday. It was held in the Julian Alps of Slovenia in Kranjska Gora at the lovely Hotel Kompas. 110+ people from 15 countries came together for a week of intense debate instruction, international exchange and fellowship, as well as a debate tournament.
The tournament was won by Druga Maribor/Ljutomer over London 1 from Clapton Girls School on a tight 4-3 decision, which was rendered by a judging panel from 7 different countries. The top three teams featured 6 girls and 3 boys. The top ten speakers featured 7 girls and 3 boys from 7 different countries.
