Alum Spotlight: Justin Porter, Harvard University ‘16, on the Value of Speech and Debate
Justin Porter and his friends started a debate program during his junior year at William B. Murrah High School in Jackson, Mississippi. Justin, a Harvard undergrad, attributes the ensuing growth of the program to “the magic of speech and debate—it has a unique ability to unleash the latent intellectual and creative energy inside the nation’s brightest students."Read more »

According to a study from UnitedHealth Group, the country’s most diversified healthcare company, volunteering is closely linked to improved health and in some cases even helps people manage chronic conditions. What’s more, the study also found compelling evidence thatemployee volunteer programs can help businesses in key areas, such as productivity, engagement, and synergy.
