Hello all,
1. We are happy to commence the third phase of our registration process, the collection of participant details. Institutional representatives, kindly log in to your FastRego accounts and enter the relevant details for the members of the contingent that you are sending. We request you to kindly refrain from using placeholder names such as 'Speaker 1' and 'Speaker 2', and request that you try to provide us with accurate information. We require the information for making arrangements for a comfortable stay for all participants in Chennai, and kindly request that you co-operate with us in this endeavour. We will be unable to provide for special dietary requirements or other requests unless the participant details have been entered correctly.
All independent judges are requested to create an 'independent judge' FastRego account, and submit their information as well. If you have made payment towards the end of October, your slots may not yet have been confirmed on FastRego. Kindly wait a few days until you are able to enter in those details. If you have any issues with this process, kindly email us at registration@chennaiworlds.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We ask you to kindly give us some time to respond to all emails as the volume of emails that we receive is quite high, and thus, while we will do our best to respond to your query as soon as we can, it may take a few days. If your query is time-sensitive, kindly mark that in the subject line and we will assign those top priority.
2. We have released the preliminary briefing for Chennai Worlds 2014. It is available on this link: http://goo.gl/l1HBoZ
We request that all participants read the briefing carefully, and contact the chief adjudicators (at michael.baer@chennaiworlds.com and harish.natarajan@chennaiworlds.com) in case you require more clarity on issues covered or have questions regarding the same.
3. We urge all participants that require visas to apply for the same as soon as possible. Kindly contact the visa officer at visa@chennaiworlds.com for custom invitation letters or letters of support with official details regarding accommodation and the tournament that you may be required to provide at the embassy. Kindly send us your name, university name, status as speaker or judge, and passport numbers for us to be able to process your visa letter quickly. We request contingents to club their letter requests in one email, if possible.
4. We have about 20 judging slots to offer to institutions that still wish to send judges in addition to their current contingent size. Kindly email us with your request, and we will respond to you shortly.
If you have any questions or queries, kindly email us at registration@chennaiworlds.com.
Cheers,
The Chennai Worlds Registration Team.
