World Debate Forum Announced for after WUDC Chennai

Hello All,

WDF Chennai "Developing Indian Debating for International Success".

The 4th of January 2014 will be a watershed moment in Indian debate history. Debate flows rich through India's part and present, but organized competitive debate is a new phenomenon. Yet much has changed in the last few years, the celebration of this growth being the Chennai World Universities Debating Championships.

Yet clear and consistent competitive success is still wanting. We are rich in language, talent and resources, what is holding us back? Is it the lack of systematic coaching at the schools, which means the college debater has less time to develop to his/her full potential? Products of Indian education systems achieve far greater success debating overseas - so are the barriers at the university level?

Join us at WDF Chennai to debate about debate, and help us form the answers. We are looking for presenters and participants. If you are interested to present on this theme (a solution, a possible problem, a large process flow chart) please let us know. The hotel (JP Hotel [http://www.hoteljpchennai.com/] ) is located in Koyambedu opposite Asia's largest bus terminus CMBT(Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus) which provides instant connectivity to all parts of Chennai and to nearby major cities like Bangalore and Hyderabad with buses plying every 5 minutes.

- pickup from WUDC hotel (If WUDC hotel doesn't provide shuttle) and drop to the airport


- accommodation for one night


- three meals


- access to presentation venues
