I have set a Date for two particular important issues. First, I have set a date for when you need to finalize your participants at USU NATS. I need Names and dietary restrictions. Second, I need you to confirm that you are sending the amount of teams you registered for. If you have already filled out this information, thank you. That date is February 28. Anytime after this date, without a personal arrangement, you will be expected to pay for your teams you registered at the time of registration, regardless of the teams you bring, pending a grave emergency. As for the waiting list, there many institutions I am trying to fit in. We have many first time US NATS schools wanting to participate and I am very excited for this new venture. Therefore, as I promised at the bid, I am reducing my own teams from 6 to 4 teams. I am also working on getting more rooms to have schools participate, such as: Clemson, Duke, Miami, Stanford, Adelphi, and Jamaica.
One last announcement: We have budgeted "Saturday breakfast" for those who are staying at the hotel. That is where breakfast will be served. If the price of the tournament hotel is over your budget, please respond and tell me that you are not staying at this hotel. At this point, I need to let you know where to park, and I need to budget a continental breakfast at the University for those who will not experience the Sheraton experience. This does not mean each school cannot participate in the public speaking social on Friday or the break party on Saturday. You are still welcome to Friday's social and are encouraged to our sit down dinner/break party on Saturday. Your reg covers the break party. After that, our team has worked diligently to fundraise enough to treat you to In N Out friday night, breakfast Saturday morning, coffee and drinks throughout the day, and lunch Saturday afternoon.
As for the coaches dinner, each school will be allowed ONE coach per institution UNLESS you plan on bidding for NATS next year. If this is the case, please email me and let me know how many you would be bringing. Otherwise, each institution will be given ONE ticket for In N Out and entry to the coaches' meeting on Friday night.
The coaches' meeting will be quite serious of an event as we have much to cover. US NATS is growing and this is very exciting. With that said, I have an agenda on what needs to be discussed. We will be covering all issues concerning the future of US NATS as well as America's participation at WUDC. If you have any particular item you would like to see at the meeting, PLEASE EMAIL ME WITH THAT CONCERN SO I MAY PUT IT ON THE AGENDA.
