Dear Asian Debate Community,
We send you this e-mail from Korea Intervarsity Debate Association(KIDA), to introduce you to one of the recent publication projects of KIDA that may be of your interest.
As you may be aware, KIDA has initiated a number of projects to reach out to the bigger audience in Korea. KIDA’s initiatives include KIDA Debate Workshop, KIDA League, Membership Training, Leadership Training, KIDA Night, newly launched website and blog, and publications such as KNC Hosting Guide.
The last publication project of KIDA Secretariat 2012 was the KIDA Guide: Official Guide to Parliamentary Debate in Korea, which incorporates guides to the debate scene in Korea, hosting tournaments, judging debates, researching for debate, and list of past Korea Nationals (KNC) motions. The volume has been edited by us two Co-Editors-in-Chief, including JyaHyun Albert Lee, Kyung Hee University and JuSeung Yi, SolBridge International School of Business. The volume, printed in 120 pages, is to be distributed for free to those who lack the resources and access to debate in general.
While KIDA has about 200 copies left to be distributed, we hereby send you the PDF version of the guide, for your reference and information. Please do use the volume and distribute it to anyone who would find it of use. We would appreciate it very much if you would take your time to send us your comments and suggestions, to albertlee1224@hotmail.com,yijuseung@gmail.com, or kida.koreadebate@gmail.com.
Also, we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has contributed to putting together this volume. Not only is this book an edited expansion of ,KNC Hosting Guide>, which was edited by Hyewon Lee, former KIDA President, and Albert Lee, but this book has benefited from a number of individuals who have taken their precious time to write, edit, and provide necessary information for the volume. Special recognition for Hyewon Lee, Hyewon Rho (Former KIDA Vice President), and Junbin Yu (Korea University) who have written a whole subjection of chapter respectively and Tae Yeong Kim and Eui Joon Kim from KIDA Secretariat 2012 for helping us gather the relevant information and data for the book.
We sincerely hope that this volume gets used and referred to as “the” guide to debate in Korea. Again, please do not hesitate to contact any one of the Main editors or KIDA for your inquiries or comments.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
JaeHyun Albert Lee
JuSeung Yi
