IDEA would like to inform its members, partners and broader network that we will not be holding our annual Global Youth Forum in 2014. We remain fully committed to the objectives and values which motivated us to set up the Forum in the first place but we are taking a break to allow us to make this event better. After 19 years of amazing and passionate international debating, we believe we need to revitalise the format in order to better meet the needs of a different generation of young people – the world has changed in many ways since 1995.
In the course of 2014, we will launch a series of consultations to see how we can achieve this, and this process will continue for several months. We welcome your ideas and partnership in this process; please contact us if you are keen to be part of the project -- youthforum@idebate.be. We expect to be back again in 2015 with a new, improved offering.
