LAUNCH OF MONASH DEBATE REVIEW VOLUME 11
The Monash
Association of Debaters is extremely proud to announce the launch of
the 2013 edition of the Monash Debating Review. A seven month endeavour
under the editorship of Mary Nugent, this year’s MDR is the largest to
date featuring articles by eleven authors hailing from five continents.
This year the review tackles issues of discrimination in the debating
community, explores the experiences of societies in the developing world
and examines the virtues of some of debate’s more modern conveniences
including the infamous ‘information slide’.
2013
also marks the launch of the new MDR website affording readers the
ability to read, share and comment on articles in a manner never
accessible before. We warmly welcome feedback from the debating
community on this new format.
ABOUT THE MDR
The Monash Debating Review (MDR) is the world’s only international, peer-reviewed debating journal.
First published
in 2002, the MDR is a yearly publication that provides a forum for
discussion of issues as they relate to debating and adjudicating. The
MDR draws on the opinions and experiences of the some of the best
debaters, adjudicators and coaches from around the world. An
international editorial committee is selected every year to edit the
MDR.
Since 2010, the MDR has been made available online for free thanks to the generous support of Monash University.
